Andy Annes and John Campbell will attend the 2022 Chicago Loop Alliance’s Annual Meeting to be held at the Palmer House on March 24, 2022.
Chicago Loop Alliance (CLA) and Chicago Loop Alliance Foundation's Annual Meeting gathers the Loop’s most influential business, civic, and cultural leaders to connect during this crucial time of economic recovery. Chicago Loop Alliance will offer a recap of 2021; share plans for 2022; and induct the incoming slate of Board of Directors.
This year’s keynote speaker is Leon Walker, Managing Principal, DL3 Realty Advisors, who works with national and regional corporate stakeholders to make high-impact investments in Chicago’s neighborhoods. Mr. Walker, co-founder of the Chicago Emerging Minority Developer Initiative (CEMDI) will discuss how CEMDI is helping build the next generation of African American and Latinx real estate developers and why that is beneficial for the Loop. CEMDI was founded on the premise that a robust pool of minority developers active in Chicago is a critical component to building Black and Brown wealth, stemming population loss in the city of Chicago, and bringing innovative development projects to historically disinvested communities.
Andy and John will hear from influential speakers such as Jean De St. Aubin , the CLA boards chair and Executive Director of the Gene Siskel Film Center, Michael Edwards, the President & CEO of the CLA and Mayor Lori Lightfoot.
